Hindi Pakhwada 2018 has been organized in Central Council for Research in Siddha headquarters and its peripheral institutes / units for the purpose of accelerating awareness of Hindi language in official work and its progressive use. On this occasion, the inaugural function of Hindi Day and Hindi fortnight has been organized on 14.9.2018 jointly by the Council Headquarters and Siddha Central Research Institute, Arumbakam, Chennai.
The closing ceremony of Hindi fortnight was held on 9.10.2018. Dr. NJ Muthukumar, Director General, CCRS attended as the Chief Guest and Dr. P. Sathya Rajeshwaran, Director In-charge (Siddha), SCRI attended the program as Chairman.
After the prayer song, Shri Suryanarayanan, Consultant (Administration), SCRI, Chennai welcomed the guests and the officials and employees. Dr.Shiak Anwar Babu, translator, CCRS Headquarters gave information about various competitions organized during fortnight.
On this occasion, Assistant Director in-charge (Siddha), has said in his speech that there should be allegiance and interest in learning Hindi by every officer and employee. He congratulated the success of Hindi fortnight.
In his speech, the Director General Dr. N.J Muthukumar said that Hindi is the Official language and it is necessary to learn and use Hindi in Official work. He appreciated the efforts of the officers and staff on the success of Hindi fortnight.
Dr. N.J Muthukumar, DG, CCRS and Dr. P. Satya Rajeshwaran, Assistant Director (in-charge) in charge, gave cash prizes to successful employees and officer who participated in the various competitions.

The program concluded with the national anthem.
